GB Training in South Africa
As the title suggests, I'm of to South Africa today. I am attending a GB prone training camp out there along Neil Stirton, Matthew Thomson Mike Babb and our coach Kimmo.
Hopefully this will be a great trainig week and will get a lot of work done. Kimmo has an interesting schedule for us so far with hints of matches starting at 7:00am. I think he's starting to loose the plot!!!! I'm really looking forward to this opportunity and want to take my shooting a few steps further towards my Olympic dreams.
Will hopefully provide plenty of chances for some impressive photo's to!!!!!
Catch you all soon, and will try to update this as I can whilst I'm there.

Team Gibraltar Training Camp!!!!!!
Greetings to all!
Have just come back from my prefered training venue, Gibraltar. The range itsself is at Europa point and is the furthest west part of europe. The range has 18 firing points with Gehann type target changers, a good club house with the facilities one could want, including pool table!!!
Enough talk, lets get onto the pictures!!!!
|This is the range||Yes that is old astoturf on the ground!|
|This is the famous rock of Gibraltar.||Should that really be on the runway??|
|Frankie shows new shooting position?!?||was feeling a bit flat this training day!!!|
|Its not all hard work! John shows how its really done||Bob, the new coach in training!!!|
So where was my ice cream then????
Ok, so they got to the que before me. Thought it best not to argue!!!
|Sometimes, its best not to ask!!!||Really, definatley best not to ask???|
|LOOK!! a hand! Gee its so funny||Hats of to G, at least someone was taking notice of the coaches and filling in their notebook - read soething like: team Wales training camp, bunch of nutters, shouldn't really be let out! ps hit the 10!|
|Griff, where have you got your hand???||G says "you did what????"|
|OOH arty farty pics!!||See, I was there to!!|
|Heloise was there to!!!!||Jenny and Frankie - giggles anyone???|
|Being the proffessional athletes, we do not drink!||much!!!!|
Probably best that I leave to the blog there!!!
All in all we had a great time, got some really good quality training done and I think most of us achived many goals we set out with. The weather may not have been the best for this camp but much better than back home (snow of all tings) and did allow us to shoot in some trying conditions which we all coped well with.
On behalf of myself and the rest of the team I would like to thank all those who enabled this camp to take place. Spaecial thanks to the Gibraltan rifle club for the use of their facilities and to the members who came and opened up the range and made our visit very welcoming and friendly.
Cheers all and speak again soon.
